HKSHL Chapter 35

The Great Holy Pool was so silent that even the water dared not ripple.

God’s hand remained on His abdomen, His expression blank. His golden eyes had lost all their brilliance, and His incomparably perfect face had drained of all color—
As if He had endured a pain unbearable to life itself.

The only thing reacting was the Book of Creation, which was laughing hysterically at the bottom of the Great Holy Pool, observing everything with eyes and ears attuned to all directions. Its pages fluttered wildly as it recorded this particular year, month, and day after the world's creation—when God was suddenly "blessed" with unexpected news. Upon being informed by the Laws, He discovered that He was pregnant with Satan’s child. Overwhelmed by shock, He nearly wished to destroy the entire world.

It had written nothing wrong.

At this very moment, God truly harbored the thought of obliterating the world—
And erasing this black mark in history.

Sensing the terrifying nature of this notion, the Laws perceived the Creator God's collapsing mental state. They once again cast a glance at Him through the void and added:

【God, don’t act recklessly. If you give birth to this Child of Darkness, the world will soon achieve a balance between light and dark.】

God: "…"

So even you know that I might act recklessly, Laws?

The Laws drifted away, ignoring God's silent condemnation. Indeed, just as the Book of Creation had recorded, ever since coming into contact with Lucifer, God’s emotional fluctuations had become more frequent.

With a soft plop, the Book of Creation shot out of the Great Holy Pool, shaking off the golden water of faith in midair. It circled around God again and again like a diligent little bee, continuously recording various data about Him.

【God: True name, Jehovah.】
【Age: Impossible to determine. When God was born, this book had not yet existed.】
【Gender: Formerly male, now questionable.】
【Race: Chaos Deity.】
【Hobbies: Light.】
【Dislikes: Darkness.】
【Pregnancy duration: Estimated to be no more than three days.】

A string of secrets, known only to the Three Realms, was recorded by the Book of Creation.

God snapped back to His senses and immediately said coldly, "Do not record such things!"

He even forgot to use divine words, reaching out to seize the Book of Creation. However, a sudden pain in His abdomen made His fingers freeze for a moment, giving the Book of Creation the perfect chance to escape to the hall entrance.

With both hands pressing against His abdomen, God's golden eyes turned so icy that the Book of Creation shivered.

God was angry.

The Book of Creation hurriedly explained, "God, I’m merely recording Your pregnancy process. This is extremely beneficial to the physical and mental well-being of the divine child! If Your condition worsens, I can still have time to seek help from the Laws to prevent—"

"—both You and the child from perishing," it added cautiously.

God's face twitched. He had never heard of a deity’s pregnancy leading to both mother and child perishing!

Seeing the silver-haired deity calming down, showing no further intention of settling scores, the Book of Creation cautiously inched closer, employing all forms of flattery and coaxing to barely secure its survival. Seizing the opportunity, it also recorded God’s emotional index for the day, giving Him a two-star rating—indicating mood swings.

If God's emotional state plummeted any further, it would have to take up the world-saving duty of seeking the Laws to counsel Him.

—Half a day later.

The Book of Creation glanced at God, who was resting with His eyes closed, and asked, "Lucifer is waiting for You in the mortal realm."

Moreover, before God returned, someone had orchestrated an entire play, luring Yahweh into the Great Holy Hall. Now, all the high-ranking angels in Heaven knew that Yahweh had stayed there for several days, receiving an unprecedented honor. After all, even the once most favored Lucifer had never been allowed to reside in the Great Holy Hall.

God’s tone was indifferent. "I do not wish to see him."

The Book of Creation understood instantly.

God's awkwardness-induced avoidance syndrome had flared up.

As the Creator, He had somehow ended up pregnant with Lucifer’s child—just the thought of it was utterly humiliating!

—Meanwhile, in a secluded grove in the mortal realm.

Day after day, Lucifer watched as the winter snow melted away, yet Yahweh still had not descended. His mood was utterly foul.

After tidying up the house and leaving behind a letter, Lucifer departed from this place where lovers once met in secret.

For the first time in a long while, Satan returned to Hell.

The Seven Deadly Sins celebrated his return.

Leviathan tugged at Lucifer’s sleeve, using her childlike appearance to act pitifully. "Your Majesty, is the mortal realm really that fun? You’ve been gone for years. Next time, take me with You, okay?"

Lucifer patted her head. "Leviathan, the mortal realm doesn’t forbid beings from Hell. You can go there yourself."

Leviathan pouted.

Just as Beelzebub had said, once His Majesty had a lover, He devoted Himself wholeheartedly to spoiling them.

After coaxing away the childlike Chaos Dragon, Lucifer shifted His gaze to the other fallen angels. Compared to Leviathan, they were the ones He truly needed to keep an eye on.

Seated upon the Throne of Darkness, Satan rested His cheek against one hand. In His slightest shift between joy and fury, He seemed to command the entire world's darkness.

However, before speaking, Lucifer first released the government affairs that Samael had thrown at Him. Opening His storage space toward Samael, a flood of stark white documents poured out, instantly burying the unprepared angel.

The ever-composed Wrath of the Seven Deadly Sins struggled helplessly in the sea of paperwork, unable to climb out, instantly amusing his heartless companions.

"Hahaha!" Belial laughed the loudest.

Beelzebub suppressed a chuckle, lowering his head to hide his smile, while Asmodeus, though silent, had an expression full of schadenfreude.

Samael, so even you have a day like this.

Once Samael finally crawled out in a sorry state, he first shot his companions a fierce glare before lowering his head and quietly standing back in place, not daring to comment on His Majesty’s prank.

Lucifer found it dull and waved a hand. "Speak. What have you all been doing while I was gone?"

Samael said, "I was handling government affairs on Your behalf, Your Majesty."

Beelzebub said, "I was managing the royal city."

Asmodeus darted his eyes around, let out a dry laugh, and said, "I—I was helping plan Your Majesty’s celebrations!"

A chorus of eye-rolls followed.

Those so-called celebrations were just minor festivities for entertainment. There was no need for Lust, one of the Seven Deadly Sins, to waste time organizing them.

Still, compared to some others, his excuse wasn’t the worst. Lifting his chin slightly, Asmodeus signaled Belial to report next.

As expected, Belial began sweating as his gaze wavered. "Your Majesty, I… dozed off for a while, and when I woke up… You had already returned."

Lucifer: "…Heh."

After thoroughly dealing with the increasingly lazy Belial, Lucifer felt slightly relieved. His brow smoothed as He ordered, "I want you all to investigate Heaven. Yahweh hasn’t come to the mortal realm recently. Did something happen up there?"

Beelzebub's eyes lit up. Something happened? Good!

Meanwhile, Asmodeus fell into thought, recalling the latest intelligence from their spies. He reported one piece at a time: "Your Majesty, there doesn't seem to be any major incidents in Heaven. If there were, we would have already informed You. However, I heard that the Seraph Yahweh received divine favor and was granted residence in the Great Holy Hall. That might be why he hasn’t come to see You in the mortal realm."

Belial’s voice rose sharply. "The Great Holy Hall? Yahweh has that privilege?"

Even His Highness never got to stay there!

Lucifer naturally understood the thoughts of His subordinates. His sharp gaze swept over them as He said coldly, "Shut up. I don’t want to hear about the past."

Belial’s lips moved slightly, but in the end, he didn’t voice any further complaints.

The honor that once belonged to His Highness could now only be upheld in their hearts. Heaven… had long abandoned His Highness.

This gathering of the Seven Deadly Sins ended on a note of collective gloom.

The fallen angels all knew how much God had once adored His Highness Lucifer. But now, an inexplicably appearing Yahweh had directly obtained privileges even His Highness Lucifer never had, becoming God's new favorite. This was something they found unbearable.

At times, they couldn't help but wonder—

Did God have some hidden reason for casting His Highness down? And wasn't God's persistent refusal to see His Majesty over the years also proof of that?

But with the arrival of Yahweh, the Seraph—

All those hopeful speculations were shattered.

God descended upon the mortal realm for Yahweh.
God protected Yahweh before His Majesty.
God summoned Yahweh and allowed him to reside in the Great Holy Hall.

God had already—

Forgotten His Highness’s past faith in Him.

Walking through the royal city, Beelzebub’s eyes reddened as he choked out, "What the hell is this?! Why does Yahweh get so much favor?!"

Beside him, Asmodeus let out a sigh.

There was nothing to be said—facts spoke louder than words. But Asmodeus didn’t want to see Beelzebub dwell on this, so he simply pulled him along with the others and said, "Come on! Let’s find a place to drink. It’s been ages since we all sat down and talked."

—Inside Satan’s palace.

Lucifer sat alone on His throne, His expression cold.

Suddenly, He spread His fingers, and within His palm appeared several strands of silver hair, shimmering with a flowing light—Yahweh’s hair.

"Track—"

Lucifer softly murmured the tracking spell to locate the original owner.

The silver strands gleamed with a shifting radiance, possessing an otherworldly beauty. Then, as the spell took effect, golden light enveloped the hair, and a distinct magical fluctuation guided Lucifer’s senses toward the distant Heaven.

Yet, within moments, the fluctuation was abruptly severed. The silver hair in His palm disintegrated into fine powder, and the last thing He glimpsed was a fleeting vision of the Great Holy Hall.

"Interrupted."

Lucifer sneered, blowing lightly over His palm. The powder scattered from His hand.

"God."

"Must you take Yahweh away from me…?"

—Meanwhile, at the Great Holy Hall.

The moment Lucifer’s intent touched upon Heaven, God reflexively hurled the Book of Creation outward—

BANG!

It slammed into the doors, and the hall doors shut tightly.

With the doors now sealed, the Great Holy Hall was utterly secure.

Holy power flooded the space, forming an impenetrable barrier that only gods of the same level could breach.

Leaning back against His throne, God sighed in relief at His own decisiveness.

"Lucifer actually tried to track Yahweh."

He gently stroked His abdomen, which showed no outward signs of change, and felt an indescribable sense of unease.

"In this state… how am I supposed to face Lucifer?"

"Do I just tell him that I’m pregnant… that the child carries both divine and demonic blood?"

At the hall entrance, the Book of Creation had a full-blown breakdown and shouted at God:

"You could’ve closed the door with your mind!"

"…I forgot."

God lowered His head, focusing entirely on sensing the still-lifeless presence within His womb.

"Am I really… pregnant?"

Even now, it still felt unreal.

The Book of Creation fiercely recorded yet another entry in its pages—

Today's mood rating: ★★★☆☆ (Three stars).
Violent tendencies detected!
